Minnesota Vikings Tickets

The Minnesota Vikings have been an NFL team since 1960. Throughout the 1960s and 1970s, the Vikings were a strong team, reaching and losing the Super Bowl four times against the Chiefs in 1969, the Dolphins in 1973, Steelers in 1974 and the Raiders in 1976. Although the Minnesota Vikings has never won a Super Bowl, the team has won 16 Division titles.

Before the start of the 1980s, the Minnesota Vikings experienced a huge loss when many of its star players retired. However, new star players emerged like receiver Anthony Carter and quarterback Warren Moon, who led the Vikings to the NFC Championships twice, but still failed to grab the Super Bowl title both times.

Recently, despite being unable to win a Super Bowl, the Minnesota Vikings remain a competitive team with a strong defense and offense. Last season, the Vikings completed a 5-game winning streak, but lost their two final games, finishing the 2007 season with an 8-8 record, almost making it to the playoffs thanks to running back Adrian Peterson, who broke the 2003 NFL record of Jamal Lewis record for a “single-game All-Purpose yards” by rushing 361 yards in one game.

This season, things are looking better for Vikings fans. Having won the “Rookie of the Year Award” in 2007, Adrian Peterson could probably lead his team to the playoffs, or even grab their first-ever Super Bowl title.
